Well, here's the Bellezza Italiana, Gina.

By chance, I happened to find orthographic drawings of the FNM Class 200 (on an envelope of all things!), which I ordered from an Italian webstore. The envelope arrived today and so much of the day was spent drawing a profile for Gina. Now, the drawings are not entirely detailed, they're pretty much just a generalization of the locomotive without the fine details, such as lamps, compressor, air reservoir, water tank hatches, etc. As such, I had to draw said details and place them by eye, not my preferred method of drawing these, but when in Rome.

Now, I believe that there are more detailed drawings in a book entitled Centenario Della Locomotiva 200.05, a special publication released for FNM No. 200.05's centenary celebration. Copies of the book are listed on eBay, but unfortunately the sellers don't ship to the United States. All the same, I would like to acquire said book and see if it does happen to have highly detailed orthographic drawings of the engine. I would be surprised if it didn't, given the significance.

Until then, the drawing you see here will have to be a placeholder for the time being. I'll hold off from putting her in my Redbubble store until I can acquire said book and be certain that the details are correct. In the meantime, I hope Gina fans will enjoy this drawing. Ciao Bella.

Footnote: apparently, Gina may be inspired by the Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida according to my dad. There's certainly a resemblance.
