In the more elaborate version of AUNT BIBI DRINKING I freely supplemented the sketch by adding a finger ring, ear rings and cat eye sunglasses. Aunt Bibi occasionally appears in public wearing accessories of that kind, stressing her eccentricity. In this drawing I especially found the sunglasses suitable as a “substitute” for the lacking eye contact.
It is a tough challenge to draw her eyes, but sooner or later I shall certainly try again to make a lifelike portrait of her with full eye contact, because she is “really worth it”!
