I have always thought it interesting to see an artist at work, especially when the drawing is this large.This is a few days before finishing βCollapse to Natureβ now that it done im dying to do another, but it might be a portrait instead.

You can do anything after that. You just simply reached the last level. I'd gladly put you in the same place as DaVinci, Michaelangelo and Bouguereau. Grand Master stuff

one little question sir, do you do your work with your hand raised, or layed on the paper? If layed down is so how do you manage not to smear the graphite and what mechanical pencil do you use, I use a Pentel Graphgear 1000, Thanks in advance love your work, seeing so much detail its wow it truly motivates me

i try to not have any graphite under where i draw if i do then a slip paper is taped down, thx

Is amazing the detail you employ, do you feel that paint offers less control than pencil?

not really drawing is so immediate, painting is layers upon layers that need to dry and so on.

What kind of graphite do you use? The one you are holding looks nothing like anything I've seen, is it woodless?
You have lovely work. I wish I had the capacity (my apartment couldn't hold something that big), money and time to work on such a large scale as you do. As I have learned in my art classes, the sheer size of drawings can be seen as an artistic statement in itself. But the talent it takes to fill that space with something meaningful can humble the best artists.

Every time I see your work, I always go "whoa what the hell?" and always amazed with the way you made it look like I can go swing on those branches (Of course, I shouldn't always judge by the internet image since I am always curious of wanting to see the marks up close) and the fact I envy you and so many other awesome artists to the point where I want to murder, I mean...
