Is amazing the detail you employ, do you feel that paint offers less control than pencil?
π: 0 β©: 1
1nimra In reply to jonartist [2011-01-15 15:52:01 +0000 UTC]
not really drawing is so immediate, painting is layers upon layers that need to dry and so on.

What kind of graphite do you use? The one you are holding looks nothing like anything I've seen, is it woodless?
You have lovely work. I wish I had the capacity (my apartment couldn't hold something that big), money and time to work on such a large scale as you do. As I have learned in my art classes, the sheer size of drawings can be seen as an artistic statement in itself. But the talent it takes to fill that space with something meaningful can humble the best artists.

Dear Nimra: I was so excited that you of all people stopped in! I am so envious of your talent! Only hopes of meeting you in person one day! If you are ever in Honesdale PA, look me up I own a little gallery, www.philiphonegallery.com and would love to get you in to do a demo! Either way, I am honored and amazed! You are seriously talented! Love Caroline

Every time I see your work, I always go "whoa what the hell?" and always amazed with the way you made it look like I can go swing on those branches (Of course, I shouldn't always judge by the internet image since I am always curious of wanting to see the marks up close) and the fact I envy you and so many other awesome artists to the point where I want to murder, I mean... Anyway... Then when I see you working on something like this (especially something ginormous), I think you're a crazy mutha fucker, Armin.

what? WHAT? this picture has blown through my brain like a bullet and pasted it all over the walls at the very concept of tackling that level of detail.

For some reason I never picture your work that big. It makes it even more amazing. In my opinion, you're one of (if not the most) talented artists here on dA. I really enjoy looking at your work! Thank you very much for sharing it with all of us.
