Back in 2020, I did a series of images about Superman in the Marvel universe. I thought it was high time for something similar and putting a character in the world of DC. I thought about various Marvel characters to use but none felt right. So I turned to my favorite manga, Berserk. So here we have Guts in DC Part 4
Guts in DC Part 4 Box of the King:
After the battle against Solomon Grundy both Guts and Jason were seriously injured but recovered quickly. Meeting up with Jason Guts couldn't help but bring up the reason they survived was that the strange necklace Jason wore had stopped the monster in his tracks. Jason explained that it was the Box of the King a strange amulet he bought not long after he was revied after being killed by the Joker. According to Jason it was a sort of good luck charm. Guts couldn't argue with the way things had been going.

Artemis still scolded him for getting Jason hurt but soon enough the pair would grow closer after a mission caused the pair to be separated form the rest of the Outlaws, resulting in Guts having to fight off 100 men to protect her. Things had been progressing for the Outlaws as well. Markovia saw them as heroes and even the governments acknowledge theirs presence and heroic deeds. However little to everyone's knowledge Jason and Guts were working form the shadows to overthrow the government. Jason had tasked Guts to take out serval corrupts politicians including the queen of Markovia. In the meantime Jason was attempting to woo the young princess of the nation. Everything was looking up until Guts overheard a conversation between Jason and the Princess that made Guts rethink his life.

Guts came to the realization that he could no longer live under Jason's shadow and wanted to stand next to him as an equal. And too do that he needed a dream. And to do that he needed to Leave the Outlaws. Everyone tried to stop or convince him. Starfire even tried to convince Guts to try and take Artemis with her as she had noticed a budding relationships between them. However Guts refused ultimately Jason would catch wind and remind Guts of their original deal and if Guts wanted freedom he had to beat Jason. And in a single strike the battle was decided with Guts victorious. Little did he know that this would mark the beginning of the downfall.
