Lust is basically a Gin which is a type of shadow person. his body isn't exactly real and because of that he can morph into whatever he wants. (mostly to tease poor Hedrick, but you know~ )

and nope, I came across gins when I was researching mythical creatures and yokai. I kind of added some random elements to his character outside of what I researched too, so his species isn't something I made up on my own
