I got the idea while observing two little kids holding the "great match race" on their very own while at Del Mar. You wanna know who wins? Well, in the words of the kid who rode the "winner"... SHE ALWAYS WINS.

Um, DUH. Why do people COMPARE their time, with THIS TIME? Of COURSE Ruffian would have beaten both of them! But we are ONLY focusing on Rachel Alexandra and stupid zenyatta, no other big champion horses.

That too! Speaking of which, I just received the book "Women of the Year: Ten Fillies who Achieved Racing's Greatest Honour" and it was published in 2004 (two years prior to which Azeri won HOY). But now, it's missing Rachel and possible Zeny for this year. It's interesting to see just how many great fillies there have been yet how few have actually been crowned HOY.

Actually, on Sunday. I love and respect both horses and I've seen both of them race in person, but Zenyatta captures your heart the moment you see her dance and you can't really disagree with the logic of that little kid.

I am really excited to see Rachel versus Life at Ten.

It's going to be one heck of a race. If Asmussen's stratergy works and he's got her back on track, she WILL catch Life At Ten. It's not gonna be easy and it could be another slug-fest right down to the wire; but Rachel SHOULD chalk up another win.
