My headcanons for the Mario bros and Wario bros:

They're cousins, so they basically grew up together!

Mario and Wario actually have a tiny bit of respect for each other, but it's mostly buried under years and years of childhood bullying. Wario is one of the few people who really knows how to make Mario angry. Not even Bowser can piss off Mario like Wario does!

Waluigi is a different story. When he's with Wario, he gets riled up and goes along with all his brother's crazy schemes. But when alone, Waluigi is actually pretty chill and easygoing, mostly because he's smart enough not to piss off the famous Mario bros XD He still teases Luigi a lot though~
