Description What if underneath all the masks we wear for other people... There is nothing underneath?
What if we have no personality other than the personality we put on for others?

I re-uploaded it b/c the other version wasn't quite done.

I used watercolors, white acrylic paint, and ink

I love the concept, as I'm sure many people have told you, although I wonder how many people really understand the power or the weight behind this idea. It started to make me ask questions of myself before even reading the description, so you got the message across loud and clear. The background isn't so much creepy as it is ambiguous, which helps with the atmosphere. I also like how you faded out the body to move focus to the mask, also adding to that mysterious atmosphere.

As for technicalities, I can tell how difficult it was to angle the mask in such a way, and you almost have it perfect, but the chin seems to extend farther than it needs to. Your fingers are excellent though, as is the shading around that area, so kudos on that. I also find the shading on the hair to be pretty impressive. The neck could be a tad darker since it would seem like there should be a shadow being cast from the hair, and since it's in a concave, but otherwise seems fine.

And finally, that creepy expression on the head, or rather, lack-there-of. The sunken eyes are a great addition, I know a lot of people that would've been satisfied with a big blank white oval.

Overall, minus the few technical issues that I see, it's a great image, and the idea is very powerful. Awesome job.
