I love how you draw different expressions for each one of them, and the angle you chose is brilliant!
the colors you picked are nice however, I wish you colored the lanterns and glow from the lights with yellow or orange shades instead of white, since its a night festival and people are having fun in it I think you should add some cozy warm colors to blend with the atmosphere, usually white (florescent) lights are used in places where you need to see things clearly in their true color and form, like in labs and hospitals..which is why they have this cold feel to them. in some festivals they even use small candles and put them inside, they really have a beautiful glow, try using this it will really make a difference and bring out the colors in your piece even more (:
