Very strong image. However, it wasn't the textures that struck me in this painting, though they are immaculate, but the subtleties of the pose and the composition. Its like we are standing next to them, perhaps even one of them, or someone who has met them as they stepped out of their portal/timemachine, etc. The Time Travellers are so awestruck by their new surroundings, they pay us no intention. Very nice.
