It was really interesting to see your painting process! I would love to use my watercolour paints more, but I'm kinda scared of them! They never seem to behave how I want them too! Practise is definitely the key!
I like you you refine with markers at the end too! Certainly does make all the difference in how well thigns stand out!

Thanks for the tutorial, it's giving some nice insights . And I love that you start with the character, I've heard so often that it's "wrong" to not start with the background and personally, I have the tendency to start with the character first x'D.

I also like that you are mixing mediums, I wasn't expecting markers in there 8D.

i guess, there is no wrong or right in art. Everyone draws how they want.
For me it is boring to draw always the same way, as i said, i always try drawing differently. Maybe draw backgrounds first and character later, or vice versa.
I am not professional and never will be, so why should i force myself to draw not how i want... -_- So, do not think you draw "wrong way"

I don't, no worries. I'm stubborn and always start with the character first x'D. I'm not so flexible that I switch methods, though. I also have a tendency to always start with the light colors first, when I heard it's common to start with the dark ones. I honestly don't know where people get these theories from, in the end all that matters is that the result looks good x'D.

But you're the first to say that you also (sometimes) starts with the character, so that kind of made me happy, lol.
