Description Another shot of the male Anhinga displaying his mating colors. These birds are related to cormorants, and as such they do not have the oils to keep the water out of their feathers like ducks do. This enables them to dive for their prey - small fish. These birds can remain underwater for extended periods of time, if you are lucky enough to be in clear water where you can look down on them, they actually look almost like they are flying through the water.

Thank you. One question though, why do you feel it is necessary to put someone else's picture as your ID then try to hide the fact by "inverting" the picture in Photoshop? It only makes someone wonder if the other pictures in your gallery are yours or not... just sayin'.

Your ID, and your icon, they are simply inverted images of some model called Lucy B from a Met Art. Easy enough to find via Google reverse image search. All you did is take the images, invert them (makes it look like a negative) in photoshop, then post them. They are not you. Why did you do that? All something like that does is make people think that perhaps other pictures in your gallery are not yours...

Beautiful bird! I wonder if you would mind if I used this as a painting/drawing reference.
I will give you credit/noted for reference.
