Description The Warlock Destroyer with some of the new guns in place - there are 9 Heavy Phased Plasma Cannons & 3 Heavy Railguns now - all newly re-designed.

Yeah, I wish there were some good close-ups of the new version they used in The Lost Tales. Don't have anything against the Omega, but the Warlock just looks better and more menacing.

I agree, seriously menacing. I just posted a size relationship render of the Warlock in relation to the star trek enterprise (original) and a 747, it's a huge ship.

Well, I believe they have contests now and then for new ship designs! I've only recently started playing, myself. Either way, you're doing an awesome job on the destroyer!

i got first view / first comment it's neat to see the turrets again after seeing them in detail . are the little dots of lights actually Light objects ?

Yay! The lights are all actual fixtures I modeled with light objects inside of them. I find on high detail modeling this creates the most realistic "light patterns" as if from real fixtures instead of just placed lights

Depends upon the application - for space scenes I generally use hard shadows for light fixtures as there is no atmospheric gases to reflect/bend/soften light - and in the case of the engine exhaust in prior examples I use again hard shadows on most of the lights in an exhaust trail, but then use one or several different soft shadow lights within the trail as there would be some light emitting from those in reality
