Description Okay - someone said in the comments on my last posting that it was getting a little hot in here due to my studies on SkinVue6 skins - soooo here ya go *douses flames on a certain someone*

I do hope you enjoy

This picture is made using Vue 6 Infinite and playing around a little with SeaVue Materials...

During both WWI and WWII the premier British base was Scapa Flow in the Orkney Islands, Scotland. This area was a constant target of German U-Boats during WWII, many never returned from this heavily protected region though. Scapa Flow was 140 sq miles (362.60 sq km) of protected water ranging from 160ft to 70 ft (48.77m to 21.34m) of water with a flat sandy bottom. The base was closed in 1956.

As a huuuuuge fan of submarines, especially the U-boats (and a bit of a WWII buff, so I know the history) I totally love this. The sub is brilliant, and I really like the water, too

I have personally seen it myself off the Scapa Flow - mind you that was a long time ago - and you are of an age where you would not have been witness to this. Despite what many world leaders are saying - global warming is here and is affecting our environment. Recently a friend of mine reported that they did not get any snow in an area in Alaska until just recently! I was in the Navy years ago and plied through those waters in the North Sea and Scapa area and witnessed myself on numerous occasions ice formations.

Now - pertaining to this picture - I in no way implied nor stated that there was ice forming in or on the water - check my Artists Write-up and you will see this. As to the color of the water and sky - it was made this way to imply coldness - as again was stated in my Artists Write-up.

Thanks

Well actually it's overcast and a bit cold here at the moment. Not freezing, but a bit cold. I don't have socks on cause I'm going for the "mooch on dole money" look, you know. I am wearing a jacket though.
