After a long period of having very little inspiration for photography, I think I may have finally found the thing to get me back into it.

Storms.

This one passed just south of Clermont earlier this evening, and I really felt like shooting it, and I'm glad that I did.

Incidentally, I think the fire visible where the strike appears to hit the ground was lit by an earlier lightning strike, as it isn't there in photos from earlier in the evening. Later on the fire seemed to be put out by the rain, and I think it's just a coincidence that they lined up in this shot. A very lucky coincidence.
