Description
The final month is here and the topic was to create an outfit inspired by legends, tales and fairytales, and after some thinking I decided to go with the tale of Loreley.
For those of you who might be unfamiliar with this tale, Loreley was said to be a beautiful woman sitting atop a mountain or cliff with a rushing river flowing through the valley below. Her beauty would entrance men and lure them to a watery grave, and one such man was a nobleman's son, who in revenge wanted to kill her, but before he could, she took off with the waves and was never seen again.
It's not clear if she was supposed to be a mermaid or a siren, but she was quite obviously the daughter of some kind of deity and had even managed to almost trick the devil once, and the mountain where she once sat is still named after her to this day.
I didn't want to go with the classic fairytales for this challenge, so instead I looked for smaller German folklore which led me to this piece, I also tweaked Wael's usual design to better fit the tale, since Loreley was said to have beautiful fair hair, and after all, Wael DID have that kind of hair before she shaved it off, so that works out I think xD
