Description Another piece of work from the train! I like this one, I took advice from another deviant and was bolder and darker with my pencil, I have been a bit lighthanded before. It took about 3 hours altogether, broken up over a few journeys! Pencils only, mostly B and 4B for the darkest areas. It’s a great stock shot from Snow Puppy He looks much friendlier than mine!

The page is quite smudgy I know, it was kept in the sketch pad in my bag and it was in there a while! There’s a little touch up at the top to remove the perforated line at the top and where it went across the ears. Other than that it’s untouched. Comments appreciated!

It's not too bumpy or anything, sometimes you have to take a break or there'd be wobbly lines!

you must have better trains then we do

Better than Wales? I doubt it. The journey takes over an hour and it's only about 70km. It's quicker by car than by train. But I have no car, and it would be difficult to steer and draw

haha im in australia, and we just got these new trains that are supper fast, but they have a habbit of crashing, 4 times in the first 2 weeks of running. and u could drive to melbourne and back to where i live about 4 times for the price of a one way ticket haha... and the tracks are revolting haha layed down. i tried drawing on one once, but it was so bumpy i had to stop after 15 mins, another hour and a half of bordem after that.

Awww! A Siberian husky! I want a dog like that when I grow up. Either that or a samoyed. Those big puppy-eyes simply make me want to huggle it.
Nice work!

. It's fur looks so soft... I like especially how you have drawn those white places in his/her fur. That light shading has given a clear shape to it's snout, so that still looks clean and white (I couldn't do that. The dog would've got a grey fur...).
It's expression looks completetly like it would be staring it's owner. The title is perfect!

Wow, thanks for such a nice comment, I did sort of challenge myself with it, as the face hasn't much detail I had to make sure I picked the right bits of shading so the face didn't look flat! And your signature is so true

Omg! I love this so much. <3 I used to have two sibling Siberian Huskies, but I don't have them anymore, and the story is really long so I'm not going to bother you with it xD But I really love this pic. The shading is great, and he looks so cuuuuute. n.n

Wow, I'd love a huskie, do they make good pets?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Okabu In reply to 2Funki4Wheelz [2006-07-21 18:17:54 +0000 UTC]

They really do-- just, don't adopt one if you live in an apartment. They can be managed in an apartment, but they won't be as happy; they need lots of room to run and romp, so having a backyard would be a good idea. In my experience, I had an especially hyper female Siberian, and she nearly tore up my whole apartment. x.x Their puppy stage is probably the most troublesome, though I'm sure that they calm down once they become older.
