Nice result. I know the problems with rendering glass behind glass (headlights) so understand the size of the image.

This is a fun composition and I'm glad to see the Poser's mini put to use. It's one of the best models included with the program.
Cheers.

I remember the original Morris Mini Coopers.Β  I never owned one but they looked like a lot of fun to drive.Β  The newer version is cool too, but IMHO a tad expensive.Β

Thanks again Brent.Β  I'm really impressed with the results attainable with Reality/LuxRender.Β  I've gone through several of the Reality YouTube tutorials and have gotten, IMHO, decent results. And that's the secret. Β  www.youtube.com/channel/UCSiSi… Β

Yes! I love me some Youtube Tuts... it's the best place to learn the secrets of the Ancients... or whatever else.

...man... that old Poser interface... it's so bad. I am so glad I learned how to use actual 3D modeling programs when I was 'young'... and now that I can use Studio (which is only half as primitive and silly as Poser) I am set!

2Loose2Trek In reply to DBrentOGara [2016-03-03 20:45:06 +0000 UTC]

Yep!Β  When I need to know how to do something I search Google/YouTube.Β  The washing machine quit working during the final rinse cycle.Β  A quick Google search revealed that I had a faulty lid switch; then it was YouTube to the rescue with a quick jerry-rig.Β  Saved some bucks and I learned a few things.Β  We live in an awesome information age.Β

I think that I've purchased my last version of Poser with 2014 Pro.Β  My current goal is to learn a bit more about Daz Studio 4.9 which has the Reality/LuxRender plug-in installed.

I hate it when a major appliance breaks down... but Google/YouTube to the rescue! It's almost like being a real-live super genius

Learning how to use Daz Studio is what kept me in 3D figure art after college. Having learned to use actual (three different) 3D modeling/rendering software... at that point, Poser's interface was almost painful to navigate. Daz Studio is still woefully simplistic from the 'trained 3D artist' PoV, but it has most of what you need to render convincing 3D figures... and with Reality or iRay, it's getting close to what I can do with Blender and Lux (and the conversion of scenes is easier in some respects).

And when Google/Youtube won't suffice, Craigslist works quite well for appliance replacement.Β  When my last washer finally bit the dust after 15 years of duty, I was able to replace it with a Whirlpool washer in almost new condition -- delivery, setup and a cycle test was only $150.Β  It was worth it to avoid ever going back to the laundramat.Β  Some of those old ladies were vicious when claiming a washer and clothes folding space.Β

Yes, it seems that we are all learning to love our Daz Studio overlord.Β

The internet really has changed everything about how we see the world, and how we relate to it, ourselves, and each other... if that's not too deep for a simple reply!

All Hail Daz Studio!
