Description

  I wake up after hearing the loud beeping sound that came from the dreadful alarm clock that was placed next to my bed, and I get up from my bed to turn off the machine. I walk over to my grey curtains and slide them away from the window to reveal a cloudy sky with snow falling onto the white sheet that lays on the ground below. I walk into my closet and change into a plain black long sleeve shirt with a grey tank top over the shirt, black skinny jeans, and purple converse. I straighten my long black hair and apply mascara on my lashes, and I’m ready to go. I run down the stairs and go into the kitchen to have some breakfast. In the kitchen, I see my mom making breakfast for the family, my dad looking through his e-mails on his laptop, and my 8 year old little sister Erika doodling on her book. Erika’s long golden-blonde hair was put back into a ponytail while she wore a hot pink and orange striped sweater, blue jeans, and pink light up sneakers.

                “Hey little tramp,” I say playfully as I walk past her.

                She looks at me through her big green eyes and smiles, “Hi Luna.”

                “Luna, hurry up and eat breakfast before it gets cold,” my mother says while she points with the spatula in her hand at my breakfast, which was a plate of chocolate chip pancakes. I sit in a chair and start eating my breakfast. “You better hurry Luna, or else you’re going to be late for school.”

                “Don’t worry mom. Elsa is driving me to school today and she’s always on time,” I say with my mouth full.

                “Luna! You’re 17; you should know not to talk with your mouth full!” I swallow my food and apologize to my mom. Then I hear a honk outside my house, and I grab my back pack and run out the door. I get into Elsa’s blue Mustang and she drives to school.

                “Hi Luna,” Anna says as she turns around from the front seat and does her famous cheery smiles.

                “Hi Anna, how are you and Kristoff doing?” I ask, knowing that a special event was coming up for the both of them.

                “Oh we’re just fine. I’m so excited that it’s going to be our 1 year anniversary soon,” Anna squeals. I noticed that Anna was wearing her purple winter coat over a black shirt as well as blue jeans and black leather boots, and Elsa wore a blue blazer with a blue long sleeve shirt, which had some sequence around it, as well as light blue jeans and blue boots. Also, Anna had her hair in two braids as well as a purple and pink knitted beanie while Elsa had her usual side braid.

    “Seriously Elsa, how can you wear that and not be freezing in this weather? Just by looking at you, I get cold,” Anna questions.

    “Well, I’m student body president so I have to keep up an appearance, and like I always say the cold never bothered me anyway,” Elsa explains.

    “Very funny Elsa,” both Anna and I say. We all laugh and then Anna looks at me. “What about you Luna? How are you not freezing?”

    “Well, I got use to the cold so, like Elsa stated, it doesn’t bother me as much.”

    “Also being with Jack Frost made you invincible in the cold. By the way, I’m seriously going to punch him for this weather, if you don’t mind Luna.”

    “Not at all Anna, he deserves it.” We both giggle as Elsa continued driving to school. Eventually, we made it to Burgess High and we all exit Elsa’s car. Anna runs out as she catches up with her boyfriend while Elsa and I stay behind. As we walk towards the school, Elsa nudges me and I turn to look at her.

                “So Luna, what’s up with you and Jack?” she smirks.

                “Oh come on Elsa, I know we’ve been dating for three months now, but everything is just like how it was when we first met.” She giggles. I give her a small smile. “Plus, I know he’s your partner in the Big 4 team, so it gives you an excuse to butt in his personal life.”

                “Well I’m looking out for you Luna. You’re my best friend and I know what a trouble maker Jack is,” Elsa says and we both laugh. Then, I feel an arm wrap around my waist and turn to see Jack besides me.

                “Hello ladies, were you two talking about me?” He asks.

                “It’s none of your business, Jack,” Elsa says with a smile on her face.

                “So I’ll take that as a yes then.” Jack smirks.

                “Well, I’ll see you afterschool Luna,” Elsa says as she leaves to go to her classes.

                “Bye Elsa,” I say as I wave to her.

                “So, what do you two always do afterschool?” Jack asks.

                “Just stuff that’s all, Jack.”

                “Ok.” Then some of Jack’s classmates pass by and say hello or wave at him, which he did the same to them. Afterwards, he looks back at me. “I still can’t believe people can see me without even having to believe in me.”

                “Well, I guess it’s the perks in being a part of the Big Four.”

                “Tell me about it.” We stop in front of my homeroom class and Jack leans in to give me a kiss on my cheek. “I’ll see you at lunch.”

                “Ok bye Jack.” I wave to him and enter my classroom. I take my seat and wait for Jamie to arrive. Just a few seconds before the late bell rang, Jamie crashes into the classroom.

                “I’m here!!” He yells to the teacher the second he arrives with his hair in a frizzy mess and wearing a red sweater, blue vest, torn-up jeans, and grey shoes.

                “You were almost late Jamie. You’re lucky this time. Now go take your seat.” Mrs. White, our homeroom and the school’s biology teacher, says as she shoos him to his seat.

                Once Jamie takes his seat, I lean a bit closer to him and say, “You woke up late again didn’t you.”

                “Yea,” He says nervously as he scratches the back of his bedhead.

                “Come on Jamie, you have to stop being late. I’d hate to tell your mom whenever she asks me and you know how I hate lying to your mom.”

                “I promise I’ll try to be on time.”

                “Yea right.” I smile and we both eventually laugh just before Mrs. White tells us to be quiet.

                The lunch bell rang and everyone immediately runs out through the door to head to the cafeteria. I grab my school supplies and books and walk out of my class. Just outside the classroom door, I see Jack leaning against the wall waiting for me to come out of my class. Once I meet up with him, I link my arm around his and we both walk towards the cafeteria to meet up with everyone else. Once we make it to the cafeteria, we both go to our usual table where everyone was already waiting. We both sit down and engage in the group’s conversation.

                “Hey guys,” Rapunzel says.

                “Hey Punzie,” Jack says.

                “Jack!! I told you to stop calling me that!” Rapunzel whines.

                “Sorry but your name is really long.”

                “Hey it’s ok Rapunzel; it’s just a nickname Jack gave you,” Flynn, Rapunzel’s boyfriend and partner in the Big Four, says.

                “He’s right Rapunzel. It’s just a little nickname Jack gave you since you guys are friends,” I said.

                As Rapunzel was calming down, Merida spoke up, “Well, before Jack started making little Rapunzel cry, I was going to suggest that we should all go to North’s Workshop today and train.” Then everyone else, besides Elsa and I, agree.

                “Sorry Merida, but I already had plans with Luna today,” Elsa stated.

                “Oh well its fine.” Then, Merida looks over at Jamie, who he was eating his lunch, and nudges him. “Hey Jamie, why don’t I teach ye how to use a bow and arrow.”

                “Oh man, that would be so much fun!!” Jamie said in excitement. With that, everyone else continued talking about what they were planning on doing for their training today.

                Then, I look at Elsa and whisper, “So, what are we going to do for our training.”

                “We have to work on your water abilities,” Elsa states.

                I sigh, “Fine.”

                After I say goodbye to Jack, I run to Elsa’s car and seated myself in the front seat. As I settled myself in the car, she drove off towards the forest, where we always do our secret training without everyone else’s knowledge. Once we make it to the entrance of the forest, Elsa parks her car on the side of the rode. We both got out of the car and started walking deeper into the forest. We manage to avoid all the loose branches and small snow hills before we make it to our secret spot. It was an opening in the forest with a frozen lake in the middle and trees surrounding the land. It was mainly a grass field, but covered in snow, with some stones piled on a side of the lake and a little to no trees in the area.

                “So Luna, ready for your training.”

                I sigh, “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
