Most of our beaches are that really white sand with no rocks for miles. I kinda liked this place was a bit different.

Cheers Dee. It's the most southern point of the Great Barrier Reef and the first place Captain Cook landed in Australia in 1770.

Given that snakes are made up of 95% neck, I'm pickin' it wasn't much of a threat...

Lovely location BTW You appear to be positioned bang in between the killer sharks and the poisonous spiders, and just south of the (albeit dead) snake

I'm impressed! Did you see that they did a "spot" on 1770 on Channel 7 tonight (10/04)? One day I'll get there, just need a rich rel to leave me mega bucks so I can do all the things on my bucket list!

LOL. To be honest, I stayed in the cheapest motel in town. It was still great. If you love to fish or swim, you'd never leave.

fishing & swimming are exactly the reasons we moved to the Gold Coast last September from the lower Blue Mountains west of Sydney! I love living here. regretting that we didn't do it sooner!
