Another great shot! I love the yellow colours and the silhouette of the pelican. They're very large birds; I just went to the beach on Sunday and saw a whole flock of them overhead.

Well, here's an extract from my book. (No tricks this time - lol)
"Pelicans weigh between 4 to 7 kg, are between 1.5 and almost 2 m long and have a wingspan of almost 2.5 m. Their most obvious feature is the huge bill with its massive throat pouch. Pelicans prefer to eat fish, but are opportunistic and will eat a variety of sea animals including crustaceans and turtles. Unfortunately, they readily accept food from humans. Pelicans have been reported capturing and eating seagulls and ducklings which they hold under water and drown first."
