Description
Ellie is a Merfolk fisher who lives near the coastal town of 'Zurr in the Territory of Phezur, working to sometimes provide food for people who seek respite at the nearby Arcovean Church. She is currently engaged to Snake Nahtivel.
An incredibly accomplished cook and frighteningly good with a spear, and partially responsible for how Snake has developed the throwing style for his spell "Ivelian Spear". Being a Merfolk, she's also a great swimmer and has resistance to poisons (but is still very much able to taste them). She doesn't use Arcana, but has a pretty solid foundation to work off of if she ever chooses to learn it.
She stands at 5'4"-- short for her kind.

Ellie was born into a somewhat religious clan of Merfolk off the West coast of the mainland, but her clan was attacked and nearly wiped out by Deep Ones-- causing them to flee to the shore. Their entire way of life had to change since they couldn't safely reclaim their old territory due to its new occupants. Weighing her Options, she chose to work with the Phezur branch of the Arcovean Branch and distanced herself from her clan's old ways.
Not because she hated them, but rather they no longer could function under their new circumstances.
The church was frequently visited by Adventurers who sought shelter from Phezur's hellish Terrain and flora.

She encountered Snake by complete happenstance-- finding him and his sister unconscious and barely hanging on to life on the shoreline. She rushed them to the church and pleaded the staff to help her save the two horned individuals. It was a close call, Saying the fact that Snake was bleeding out and Scarlet was immediately struck Ill by the shift in Arcana Density from leaving the Demon Realm -- but Ellie was able to bring them back to her home safely. The church didn't have any spare rooms for guests that day, so she had little choice.

Ellie grew very close to Snake and quickly found herself helping him with Snake's.... strange hobbies (necromancy) when she wasn't helping the Temple.
She would help him shop for spell materials when he didn't have any spare Arcana to summon things to help him, helped him register to become an adventurer, and even taught him (and Scarlet) how to cook for themselves. In no time, the two had become infatuated with one-another and now find themselves Engaged.
Since Snake's job leaves him stuck a territory over, Every night they talk through Snake's familiar, and he frequently sends her money he's earned through requests.
It's hard to really explain Ellie's relationship with Snake's younger sister, but she seems to worry about her.

Ellie is strong-willed, affectionate, and is incredibly protective of her not-quite-husband and her surviving family. When she sets her mind on something, she has to see it through to the end. Whether it be promises, projects, or stories -- she has to see them bear fruit.
She does whatever she can to help people she cares about, almost to a fault in the case of Snake. Very devoted, but gets jealous easily. Fortunately, Snake is incredibly aware of this-- going out of his way to try to stop any misunderstandings with her.
Being from Phezur, she is totally unfazed by the undead.

Ellie apparently really likes Snake's sense of fashion.

Snake continues to Adventure in hopes of getting enough money so he can take Ellie with him as he travels. If he can't make that work, he'd be fine with just settling down once they can afford a better place to live.
That being said, she still makes more money than him by fishing.
