Description The exclusive map has been divided into three distinct colors. Green signifies the Islamic conquest and Jihad of the North African and Arabian caliphates and emirates into Spain from the 8th century until the 15th. Red signifies the Islamic conquest and Jihad at the behest of the Turkish Ottoman empire from the 15th to the 20th centuries. Red-White signifies regions or territories that were effectively overrun and conquered by the Turkish Jihad but never actually annexed or ruled, including Croatia, Hungary, and eastern Austria. Dates have been marked to the most accurate degree possible in each region to show the duration of Islamic authority over European cultures and nations. Note that it is difficult to chart the actual realm of authority of temporary conquests, for example the very brief and unsuccessful Jihad into eastern Spain and France have been shown in Green despite the fact that the ineffectual and incoherent authority there during the period. To prevent exaggeration, the RED boundary line in central Spain is used to show the permanent Islamic state to the south in contrast to the realm of temporary Jihad attacks to the north. Note that the lack of RED on the western coast of Montenegro/Crna Gora (in Zeta) is intentional, as the region was never fully conquered. The Arabic used to show the Islamic nature of the Caliphate and the Ottoman Empire is in the Standard Arabic dialect. The non-independent regions of Transylvania (SiebenbΓΌrgen) and Bohemia have been shown because of their important historical role.

Well, the great battle against the Andalus invader wasn't the Battle of Tours/Poitiers, but the Battle of Toulouse (721, won by Aquitaine).
The Battle of Tours/Poitiers was just against a small raid, it's more a royalist propaganda than a great battle.

Btw, Frankish Empire wasn't 100% German, a lot of western Frankish were already romanized and crossbread with local Gallo-romans.

Nice map.

Anyway following the previous comments, I would comment only that I am glad that this didn't happened. Probably myself I have inheritance of people of north africa or arabic, but I don't care for that. Is just the culture, maybe in that moment it was a rich culture, but nowadays they are in their middle age/modern age, but with nowadays weapons... Europe was done with wars for religions, and arabic countries are doing the same, hope than that don't put us in the middle of an atomic bomb.Β

Greetings!

Very interesting map, tho you should not mark the states in modern borders,
itΒ΄s a bit confusing, because the Ottoman Empire did not follow exactly the modern
borders.

Seems always Germanics stopped the islamic invasion with their european brothers.
The moorish invasion was stopped by Karl Martell, from the germanic Franken who
ruled France, and the Ottos by the Germans at Wien (Vienna) with polish help^^

Gallicia et Vasconia, the proud mountain men. I am glad they fought the Muslims to a standstill, but how woeful is it, that the Roman and the Vandal states fell not to the glorious city on the hill, but to this - these are no worthy killers.

I'm not saying anything Anatara hasn't already, but what race is mahoundian filth again? Whenever the Habibs and their sycophant followers face a certain criticism their beloved death cult can't simply rationalize or explain away, they always bust out the "racism" card in that hope that will immediately silence all debate. Suffice it to say, there are those of us who don't fall for that shit.

Did I stop talking after that post, or say that mine was the final word? Did I call you a litany of slurs to attempt to hurt you? HELL! Did I even say I was Muslim? NO! I didn't because I'm not. I am just attempting to be a rational human being but I don't see the point of a conversation with a person like you who can't write a post with anything but name calling.

Stop carrying water for savages who are trying to drag the rest of the world into their insanity, and the name calling will stop. As it stands, that's all apologist fools such as yourself deserve.

Muslim is a follower of Islam, Racism is discrimination of others based on their RACE, nothing else. Many a Suebi,Vandal, Roman, Greek, turned on their brothers. There are more terms for discrimination and baises other than Racism, I would like to say, so what if they're people, they're not one people, thus, it is not Racism.

They don't deserve shit. I have read their book, and it is detestable to me. They have read ours, basically, and find it likewise. I care not for them, and that is simple. Whatever "benefit" Islam had in the "dark ages" (Nothing dark in Spain, where we were even founding new cities!) is gone now, trampled under time, mongolian hoof, internal division, and stagnancy.

If you disagree, that's fine. But I will not forget the past, nor the present.Β

The people building your cities were the Muslims if you hadn't noticed. You must not have read the Quran very well if you think that Muslims hate the Bible because the Quran mentions biblical figures more than the person who "wrote it"

If anybody is forgetting the past its you; Spain was one of multiple brutal occupying powers in the Middle East during the 19th and 20th century, murdering and pillaging the population into submission for decades. And lets not forget the "Reconqista" in which thousands were massacred deported and systematically tortured until they were confident that no Jews or Muslims remained. It was in fact so bad it could be called the First Holocaust!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

AnataraKentara In reply to SharksinSpace [2014-02-23 00:04:02 +0000 UTC]

And I hate the Quran for what it is. I hate its tenets and its commands. Not what it says about the bloody worthless bible.

SharksinSpace In reply to AnataraKentara [2014-02-23 08:15:14 +0000 UTC]

So you hate being commanded to care for the poor, pray, fast, go on pilgrimage, and profess your faith in your religion? Why do you hate the Quran other than as an extension of your hate for the people who believe in it?

AnataraKentara In reply to SharksinSpace [2014-02-23 14:44:55 +0000 UTC]

It also says to be intolerant of the other, the disbeliever is in denial and to be in their lot of eternal doom, to never help a non muslim, and these are things off the top of my head, I've read the damn Koran, and it's more vile, more insidious, more poisonous than any other holy text I've read.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SharksinSpace In reply to AnataraKentara [2014-02-23 19:29:24 +0000 UTC]

Really, because I found it much more friendly to others than the Bible which brags about the amount of murdering that they were doing for god. I've never heard the Quran tell Muslim to hate non-Muslims and it in fact says to be kind to the Christians and Jews.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnataraKentara In reply to SharksinSpace [2014-02-23 21:42:01 +0000 UTC]

The Quran is a greater more percentage violent than the bible, and it shows. Unlike Christianity or Judaism, it was forged for a warring state, and it expanded by war, THEN trade. Both Bible and Koran are repugnant, and the stench shows on the world.

You actually think you can win someone over, who has studied their whole life on a topic, building a view, over one debate over the net?

Listen. There may be many things we agree on. But you can't change someones prejudices by debate. That's like saying, "I'll stay with him, he'll change!' - but he doesn't. You're very idealist, aren't you?

The people who built cities before Islam was even a religion were Muslims? Fuck off, you don't even know what you're talking about.

Spain touching the Middle east in the 1800s and 1900s? You're confusing us for the British and French, idiot. We took Morocco in NORTH AFRICA, not the Middle east. And good! They invaded and settled, we drove them the fuck out once every last bit of profit could from vassalage. That's the way of things.

FUCKFUCKFUCK!!! See I can do that too, it doesn't make my argument anymore valid. Instead my argument is valid because its right. The cities I'm talking about are all the cities they rebuilt from ruins into functioning cities. North Africa is part of the Middle East by the way. So you're just going to ignore the genocide claims that you can't counter then?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnataraKentara In reply to SharksinSpace [2014-02-23 14:40:31 +0000 UTC]

Rebuilt? Rebuilt? Hah! The Suebi made cities, the Muslims took them whole. The Muslims didn't make Madrid, Spain did - do you talk of Grenada, that state that was soundly pounded into Vassalge by the 1200s, and only being founded a century before?Β

If you believe that somehow the Middle East extends to North Africa, you're using a very shwred positioning,

I didn't ignore the claims, I proved them. As said, I said "GOOD." Good that they were cast out - they invaded. It could had been a lot worse, though many of them did die on the North African coast due to their "Brethren", but you can already guess that I don't care for them.

SharksinSpace In reply to AnataraKentara [2014-02-23 19:33:05 +0000 UTC]

If the Muslims had been doing the massacring you would be huge on talking about how evil they all were but you are all like "cool we murder people" when its your country doing the killing. Also it wasn't just Muslims but Jews too so what about them? The Jews didn't invade but peacefully immigrated to Spain.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

AnataraKentara In reply to SharksinSpace [2014-02-23 21:45:11 +0000 UTC]

The Jews, the underdog of the world, were simply caught up in the standard prejudices of the time, and besides, most of them converted but still stood Jewish, and Spains economy suffered for it, it shows. Though, people still hate them today, so nothing has changed.
