I remember seeing similar arachnids as a kid in the U.S. (my eyesight would not be up to the task now). Were they not that extraordinary phosphorescent color, they would remain invisible to the naked eye, I think ....

Yes they are quite small the flower itself would be no larger than 7mm. This mite was quite large just barely visable and couldnt agree more, the red stands out a lot!

Thank you, I had been waiting 2 weeks every morning for these flowers to open. lucky to have the little guy in the frame the same morning.
