Cool concept... the touch pad idea for the controls is great...

I have to say, I love the thinking behind this β OLED touch-screens for both controllers means that the controls can be customized for each game, instead of having to be shoehorned into the typical βup-down-left-right-A-B-C-D-button thingβ. Add multi-touch-sensitivity to the main screen and you could use that for very precise aiming and/or movement. Brilliant work, as usual.

yes but touch-controlling is too bad for gaming, you dont have the response of pressing button... so the ergonomy is out. but i like this concept, reminds me my sony psp (with placing the controls and screen)

No haptics, you mean. Yeah, I can see that. Still, the iPhone and iPod touch are selling hundreds of games a month with a similar setup, so perhaps all it takes is people getting used to it.

yes, but, can you imagine that you play first person action shooter game on iphone? me cant... for those games you simply need buttons. so, for me, devices with touch UI are for casual gaming like lemmings... but real sense of gaming is in beating others in action games and not in casual game in 2d where you simply click on few things... thats my opinion and thats why i dont have iphone but n95 and thats why i play on PSP and xbox 360

Personally, I prefer a mouse and keyboard: much better aiming that way. Still, even thatβs not perfect. Hereβs an interesting thought: what if there were some sort of force feedback mechanism involved in the touch-screen thing. You touch the main screen to fire a round and the whole thing shakes just a bit, maybe even giving you a momentary motion blur, the way it is when youβre actually firing a gun...
