Martia had been held captive for several hours. She was exhausted. She heard some commotion outside the door. Struggling to stand up. She tried to be standing before the door opened. Because she wanted them to see her as defiant and being seen standing was the only thing she could think of given her circumstances. The door slowly opened and three men that Martia had never seen before walked into the room. One of them was carrying a woman over his shoulder. He set her down on the ground but forced her to stand as another man cut the zip ties that bound her. The third man looked at Martia and in a commanding voice told her.
" Stand against the wall ! "
Martia shook her head no in defiance.
He moved toward her as if to slap her. Martia braced for it but didn't move. The man pointed at her and said. " Woman you are lucky we arn't supposed to damage you. " Martia would make sure to remember that. The other two
