On my next system (lol, if I ever afford one) I think I'm gonna give nVidia a try again.
I haven't given them a chance in ages. And from what I've seen, nVidia/Intel are the tough guys nowadays.

Is it just me...or do Nvidia cards almost always seem to have some extra thing you have to do to make them work in a game?
That's how it's always been for me. With an ATI card, I've always been able to just plug it in, grab the latest driver and play.

Nice. I bet that one does games well.

My computer is an Alienware Aurora with 4GB DDR3 internal memory, with an overclocked Intel Core i7 930 processor and a 1TB SATA-II hard drive with Win 7 installed. For video, it's got dual ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics cards in CrossFire mode with a 24" Dell monitor, and for sound it's got Alienware's awesome standard sound card hooked up to Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers. Oh, and it's also got a Logitech G510 keyboard and a Logitech G700 mouse, and my OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. It's an awesome computer.

So, just out of curiosity, how good is your computer at the everyday stuff like browsing the Web?

Blue-Lambda In reply to GyroxOpex [2011-03-09 20:47:56 +0000 UTC]

It's good and the Browsing the Web is smooth
I have broadband or called ADSL

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GyroxOpex In reply to Blue-Lambda [2011-03-12 04:53:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I used to have DSL too. Since I've switched to broadband, things are much quicker, and less noisy to boot.

My Alienware can walk all over the Internet compared to my old comp: whereas my old Gateway used to take 3 seconds to load a page, my Alienware can do it in two tenths of a second. The first time I used the Internet on this thing, I was like, "That's ludicrous!" It was almost as if the computer had the page pre-loaded and waiting on me.

This is a "brand" "mark", not a video card.
