Description A Wheeling, Pittsburgh Steel Company switcher has bottle train and dumps hot stuff on the ground. This steel mill here is idle now. Taken 4/2/08.

I'm always afraid that the bottle trains on the ihb will do that one day, they run past crossings and such in dolton, il and Hammond, IN and people get too close to them not knowing what these are.

Hmmm, but slug is rather (in Europe) transported from steelworks to slag heap in liquid state when it's very very hot (a few thousands Celsius degrees). Look for example on this (slag from copperworks) [link]
