I'm just loving this. This structure is opaque, a surface that absorbs the light (i think that's correct), rather than reflects it. It's milky looking...solid. I really love what you've done with these individualΒ  cube structures!

The surfaces scatters light, if absorbs light it would appear black. shinny surface reflect light in parallel, dull surface reflect light in random direction, this is how mirror works. The point of this arrangement is to provide complication in lighting conditions that have to get me thinking, I have to think what to do with those those gaps in between, which is the critical part that made this drawing work.

Thanks for giving the right explanation. It is challenging to get the lighting conditions right. Yes, those small details are so important to make a pic whole. In my book, you definitely accomplished your challenge.

Will you be available by the 20th or near the end of this month? I know there's Thanksgiving holiday...I don't want to put more work on you during the holiday. I'm going to sketch out the 1st page to my next chapter (ch6). I'll give you more details in a week or so. You don't have to sketch out anything right now unless you want to.

I'm almost done with my commission. Had 3 pics total to do. Now I only need to finish one! Yaaaa!
