Description This year is obviously rich on sport events (Euro soccer cup,Olympic games, and others..) so boys(and girls naturally)go on! Show what you're made of! Let the best prevail! I keep y'all fingers crossed!

The benefit of yesterday's "intended break" from drawing ,as usual, it has nothing to do with art.
Firstly I wanted to make her in german football dress, but than I contempladed the idea (why would she do that) and I decided to cloth her in "fictional" dress (at least I'm not aware of such club ) The intention was to draw only the character, without bckgrnd, but one minute more or less is not making the difference, so I added some Xtra basic background.

It's a cute little picture! I love her outfit (even though I wouldn't be caught dead in it ) and the little background adds a nice touch to the picture.

Ey,thanks It's the fill in the gap, in which my inspiration is situated right now.
Lovely comment on the dress( "caught dead") I'd go down to propose such outfits even for other sports played here in EU, but until now It's one of many lovely features the States do have

She's wearing green underwear?

Well ,it's simple -she has green bikini in the show, so I wasn't making hard head what color to choose. *sheesh* I try to evade "oblique" contents as simply as possible

I love the cute little outfit. From my point of view (being from America) it looks like she's wearing a cheerleader's outfit. The cliche is that baseball is America's game but it is becoming less and less true. Football (american football) is America's game. If you watch baseball on tv the stands are rather empty. When you watch even the lowliest football game the stands are packed! The game is complex, fast-paced, (looooong), the perfect specticle of speed and strength. At times, the ball, itself, seems almost superfelous.

Since Sandy's from Texas, she probably would cheer for the Dallas Cowboys or the Houston Texans, but I hate them both. Go Chicago Bears! The bears made it all the way to the superbowl last year against Indianapolis Colts, but Rex Grossman showed his true colors again (Mr. I like to throw the ball to the other team) and was no match against Payton Manning. Even Devin Hester's amazing first play return of (gosh, how many ways it?) like 92 yards.... 95 yards? I don't remember. It was a lot. It was history in the making. anyway, Even Devin Hester's amazing play wasn't enough to win the game. Rex Grossman, Why did you do that to us?! Oh, anyway, never mind all that.

Cute picture with the cheerleading outfit. Since she's American, it is very appropriate to put her in that kind of outfit.

I had really good moment reading this..mostly thanks 2 my significant ignorance regarding baseball and superbowl,so all the infos you've written is something new and exciting to me. I consider both of these sports cool( when I'm saying it it doesn't sound cool anymore,so -this word isn't "in"), but in my case the Football takes the poll.(as you have mentioned the fast pace, use of tactics, and "superfelous" ball ) To my misfortune, both of them are "scarce" to be seen by any sport programme I dao have option to watch. So most of the time I do look is "sci-fi&toons" as Meg mentioned +some horrors
And about the dress- you're right (as usual )it seems much more appopriate. And I wanted to geve her those "fluffy round stuff"(I totally don't know how it's called ) the cherrladies usually do have, but I wasn't sure how should I draw them, so I "faked"

The puffy round things are called Pom-poms. Some of them are puffy and some of them aren't, they are made of plastic "streamers" so they make a rustling sound when they are shaken and sometimes they have shiny streamers too so they sparkle.

Here, visit this link: [link] and check out one of the videos.

Sci-fi and toons? Sounds like your speaking my language. That's my bag too, baby. But during football season I catch a glimpse of the games, especially the Bears, just so I'll stay in-the-know. Plus, Anthony does not want to be disturbed at all during a Bears game. He's a big football fan (and I'm not talking about English football which we call Soccer. I'm talking about American football where people wear big pads and helmets and tackle each other in the fair weather but also in rain, sleet, and snow.

I memorize it. I suppose the girls go down for that since highschool, but it is more hobby, than proffesional job, right?

Alrighty baby! I used to watch Babylon5,Galactica,first few parts of Stargate, oddities like Outer limits and others, but they aren't airing them anymore on local channels (there's narrow community of SciFi fans and they're making expandable fragment of watchers), and on the other hand I don't feel the need to download them.I'm not having sattelite, but parents do,and scarcely I watch it, mostly Nick in german..ohyes.. 'Bout the cartoons..it's weak aswell. Things like scoobydoo,Disney's toons are aired frequently and recently Pokemon, PowerRangers, Naruto and others as well, but I'm missing nickelodeon toons(I doubt if anyone know Spongebob or Rocko in my country)here , and sometimes(really sometimes) stuff like Southpark and Beavis&Butthead to have good laugh on "hillaryasshole gags" , and insults and instead of everyday's present poison of reality shows..

While being in England, I've seen their football on TV,but that is close to lunacy-from the point they do play- without serious protective gear,as well as the roughness of the play itself(it's not unusual to see 3 K.O.'ed players in one match, and they seem to pay little attention to rain or mist aswell) and filally how fanatical the fans are(especially when play f.i. Bristol vs Cardiff-=englishmen vs welsh) it turns out into brawl regularly, and to walk into crowd of welsh fans with english colours on face is another original(and painful) way how to commit suicide

Football is a very well paying job. Children play in elementary school and teens in highschool to get sports scholarships to play in college and when they start playing in college they are playing (usually) specifically to get drafted into the NFL. It is not much like a hobby except for the guys who play afterwork. Getting to the NFL is something most of those guys prepare for from childhood. Football is taken very seriously. Some guys couldn't get into college without it and once in the NFL they become bigger heros than most movie-stars and certainly harder workers.

The sci-fi shows you're talking about, yeah. I love schi-fi. I never got much into Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica (though I am familiar with the original movie that the show is based on) it is just such a big show, I am afraid to get into it. But it plays every day on the Sci-Fi channel and apparently it is super popular and still coming out with new episodes, so it is a long-lived program.

My husband has seen many more of the sci-fi series than me because he was watching them online first. I am more familiar with the old sci-fi shows like ther Twilight Zone and The Incredible Hulk. Have you ever watched Mystery Science Theatre 3000? It is a little bit schi-fi and a whole lot stupid-comedy. I think you would LOVE it! This guy and his robot friends watch old cheesey movies and comment and crack jokes through the whole thing. It can be very funny! But it is very very cheesey.

Regarding English football (soccer), I have seen how crazy the fans get. It is amazing! Those people take that game so seriously. In America there is a measure of animosity between certain teams (The Chicago Bears and GreenBay Packers are the oldest rivalry in the NFL) but unless the people are very drunk there is never that kind of outbreak. I don't really understand it in England either because I don't consider Soccer that major of a sport (many Americans don't) but a lot of kids play soccer (the expression "soccer-mom" implies a mother who takes her children to soccer practice among other things) but not many adults really play except for a few teams who play against other countries and other teams. It's not a realy big deal over here. I'm not trying to say anything against soccer. For kids it is a nice, fun game. It seems when the adults play, they take it so seriously! I guess that's a good thing, it gets you pumped up to win the game, but I have seen the horrible injuries some of those guys get when they play. I think they should wear some type of protective pads. Another game I don't really get is Hockey. A lot of people like Hockey too but it seems like a game that has said it's okay to be jerks. Hockey players use any excuse they can to hit or attack the other players. I like a game when there is a little bit more professionalism.

It is true, what you said, about American football becoming the "thing". I personally, prefer baseball. But that's just me ALthough, I know virtually nothing about who played when and who won what...darn my not having television in the house...(even though if I watcehd on a regular basis, I'd probably watch more sci-fi and cartoons than sports.)

I used to not watch much tv (didn't have cable, so we watched dvd's and football during football season) but now that we live with my in-laws and they have satelite, I watch much more tv. It was probably better for me the other way, but tv is addictive!
