These were probably my Favourite versions of the C.O.E. Van/ Pickups, or whatever term is proper for them.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Dodge A100 series. But the Corvair trucks and vans were still very cool.

i currently own a 63 rampside that's in restoration process. i love mine and it runs great actually needs major body work as it was from michigan and never stored in a garage until the two years before i purchased it..

Cool! I wish you luck in the restoration process. How bad is the body damage?

it apparently hit a deer iin the front right corner, the frame and wheel wells are really rusted, i have the front end almost to a complete restored state, and i've been welding plates on the frame so it is structurally sound to drive as it will be my daily driver due to the death of my grand am.

Ouch! But it sounds like you did a nice job getting it fixed up again. It would definitely make a cool daily driver, just don't get in any accidents! Those cab-forward trucks and vans of that era can't be very safe.

yeah.. well it's now my everyday car/truck.. but that steel for the body is THICK i can't shape it by hand that's for sure had to use a hydraulic ram in some spots for body work... but yeah accidents would be bad.

Well that's good that it has thick steel. Plus, you have one heck of a head-turner with a vehicle like that.

Beautiful truck, like an "American version" of the VW T2 pickup.

Back then, all of the big 3 had a van/truck design like this. Thank you very much!
