No, this isn't based on anything from the anime. I simply followed the standard of Kanto to have towns named after colours and cerise is pink.

Cerise Island lies to the southeast of Lavender Town. (You can see Cerise Island on my Town Map deviation.)
I won't reveal the others yet. They are part of the post-game.
