Unfortunately I never got a chance to fully explore Matt's budding friendship with Vendetta, but he really did respect her a lot. Still does. She spoke out and took her stance when he just up and walked away , and that took serious guts. I imagine he thinks about her every now and then, wondering where she'd gone, and wanting to tell her she was right all along.

Side note, the Assembly was chosen soon after the Mhorians returned, so this is set before the whole Solune disaster. Basically, Matt is (or was) in for a very bad couple of weeks.
