Description
So, from perusing my gallery you might notice a common theme amongst my artwork: they’re almost all in black and white. This image is why. I hate colouring, but only because I’m not very good at it. Now that I kind of transitioned into digital art I want to start practicing to work with colour, and I think I did a good job on my cowgirl-drawings.

But I’ve been struggling with this one, and I think I’ve been staring at it for so long that I don’t even know where it went wrong anymore. Any critique/tips/advice regarding the colouring is highly appreciated. I’d also gladly receive advise on the shading and lightwork (the neon lights are literally just coloured in with a downloaded neon-pen on Procreate, so I dunno, maby that was lazy of me)

Brighter colours? Less colours? More? Heavy shading? More details? Less? More textures perhaps?

Just anything to help, really. The piece was initially inspired by the works of Moebius and clanky dystopian mangas like Battle Angel Alita.
