Description

I have been developing a fan-made Pokemon Game in PowerPoint (yes, you heard right) for 10+ years, and even though I may never be able to publish it due to the Pokemon Companies copyright laws, I still want to share my in-game Pokemon artwork with fellow Pokemon fans.

Personally, I struggle raising a growing family in these trying times (loving fiancee plus young son plus another baby on the way makes for a very crazy, hectic, insane and fulfilling life). Autism Spectrum is also a big part of my life (for better and worse) And I hope to start an animal rescue sanctuary someday! (ambitions, ambitions, ambitions)

Pokemon is my passion, drawing Pokemon is my life, and my name is Bloodrose.

My goal is not to catch them all, but to draw them all multiple times using various techniques that I've come up with (doesn't mean they haven't been done before)

If you think these would be worth selling on here, then let me know! (I have no idea how that works, but I can use the power of the internet to figure it out!)

Welcome to the beginning of my DeviantArt journey.

Applin!

With Shiny coloration (radiation therapy)

No shading (giving it a clean, 2D personality)

Finally, there are outlines (can you see me now?)

Personal Attraction:

I like how shiny Applin is basically a green sour apple. Ha! Not too entirely fond of the evolution line, but I've never actually played around with any of them, so I don't really get a say. I am a fan of how they evolve, though. I may be able to grow to love these guys. I do love that it's basically a worm in an apple, and the shiny is a green apple. They had a sense of humor with that one.

Fun Fact: This is the last Pokemon I draw before I attempt my first custom design! Yes, I got a request for a certain Pokemon to wear an outfit chosen by the user. Oooo, this is going to be so fun! I really want to start it today, but I am waiting until tomorrow. I don't want to overdo it.

(second trimester and baby just turned 8 months old.)

BloodRose's Applin Rating:

I'd give it a... 3 out of 5.

Applin would be very low on the rating to be honest, and the only thing that saves it's little green butt is the fact that it's shiny is a green apple. I honestly love it!

This little Galar Region grass monster was not very fun to draw. I'm just grateful it was easy as pie! Uh... but not apple pie.

(No Applin were harmed in the making of these drawings)

So making the eye spots on its antennae was infuriating! I got one done right, but the other was either too big, too small, too bumpy and round... UGH! I finally copied and pasted the correct eye spot over the bad one to make them perfectly even... Then I realized it was not my style and, honestly, I felt bad for cheating my own system. So I deleted that and drew it until I got it right. AAAAAAAAH!

Also, That darker green section on shiny applin's body (or lighter red for the normal version) was kind of a funny story. I thought it was SHADING! So when I made the solid versions, I made it all one color. Then I saw shiny Applin and realized. Ha! Mistake! Shows you how well I know my Applins.

My style of drawing these pictures is a bit choppy, but It's how I've done them for 10+ years.

It shows that, rather than using a drawing format to make clean lines and get the pictures done quickly, I'd rather hand, or in this case, mouse-draw them in PowerPoint.

It gives each drawing a personal touch that, I very much hope, says "I am passionate about these drawings, and even if they take over an hour (The eight Grookey drawings on my profile took about two hours total, and most of that was editing I think!), I'd rather put the effort in and get to know each drawing personally than POOF! It's done! Time to upload and move on!"

...Yeah, not my style.
