Her family are new nobility of Court Nevsky- whose members specialise in the collection and keeping of arcane knowledge. She was the youngest of 3, and unfortunately, seemingly the first member of her liniage who was not born a sorcerer. Magical talent is everything in Vabras, thus as someone with out, she faced constant ridicule and abuse from her countrymen. Expectedly, she was a bitter and resentful person growing up, often using what little authority she had to pass that hate onto others. Even in the face of the hardships it caused her, she still dearly loved magic. She would spend as much time as he she could watching her parents weave spells and cast magics, captivated by their mastery. At time went by, she idolised them more and more to the point of worship, and they were all too happy to let her stroke their ego. Her parents had one ironclad rule for her. Never enter their private workshop. She had never been tempted to break that rule before, until one day, after a particularly traumatic experience, she burst through the door into the workshop seeking her parents in tears. Shocked, her parents seemingly lost control of the spell they were casting, causing it to unravel and catastrophically explode, destroying most of their home, killing them both and gravely injuring the onlooking horrified Iliya. Her life was saved by followers and clerics of the goddess Mystra: Mother of Magic, who risked the magically unstable crator left behind by the spell for survivors. For a time she came to fear magic and mages, for if her once 'perfect' parents could lose control so horribly, then how easy would it be for other to do so as well?. She especially feared herself. The explosion had left a vast amount of magical energy raging within her that she couldn't control, leaving her in constant discomfort and pain. Through time and practice, the followers of Mystra taught her methods and meditations to control the energy and harness it, and she became a cleric of Mystra herself with the goal of helping and teaching others how to use and interact with magic safely. Magic users still unnerve her a little and her control on her own magic still slips from time to time, but she strives to be a better person than she was and help others so they might not suffer like she has.

She has a fairly blunt personality with a sharp and dry wit.
She's very strict on herself and tries to remain calm, fearful of losing control of her magic if she loses control of her emotions.
Tends to try hide her negative emotions until she is alone.
Deffs traumatised but acts tough.
