Description It is the most interesting spiral staircase I've ever seen. It is inside an old tower in the center of town and there are actually two individual spiral stairs, which join in every floor.
To visualise it better, remember those imponent (marble) main stairs that you often find in big mansions, where the central stairs split and go to both sides. And now imagine that it continues and repeats several floors the same way.

Why do I like spirals so much? No clear explanation, but I hope you like them too.

we like spirals because they are proportional to the golden section.
they are found all over nature, in shells or pine cones.
we are drawn to balance
i really like this shot, i've seen some good spiral staircases before, but this one tops them all!

Oh yes, I like them Nice shot pal! Maybe just a little bit overexposed on the top, but I guess that you didn't have other solution... Indeed, Congratiulations!

I know you really like them. Yeah, it was quite dark there so I even had to use a faster iso (which reduced the image to 1mpix) and the light is from a window... Not much I could do about that.
Thank you so much!

Very clever, it looks almost like a snails shell, especially with the colour and texture of the stone ^_^
