Description

Chester is stubborn. Captain wolf won't give him a command? He'll make one himself. Just come up with a plan, recruit a few extras from thankless chores, march into enemy territory and prepare for glory. He'll only be considered a rogue if he fails, which won't happen.

“Are ya sure ya's not using us as bait?”

“Don't think so little of yourselves, there's no such thing as bait that fights back. You guys doubting your fighting abilities all of a sudden?”

“Dude no... it's just how it looks, ya know.”

“It looks like you might be a pair of wimps! You can go back to laundry duty if you're scared!”

“Hmmpf. Okay go do your thing then.”

“That's the spirit. And don't worry I've got your backs!” * disappears up the tree *

“...I think only Bruno should be bait.”

“WHAT? Why me?”

“They won't fall for it if they see two of us, or they'll attack with overwhelming numbers and get us anyway. If I hide into a bush instead, they're more likely to be overly confident and there's one more pair of eyes watching your back.”

“But why ME?”

“You look like a softer target.”

“Hmpff...”

“I said LOOK like a softer target, doesn't mean you are.”

There's no response from above. Perhaps Chester is a little bit upset about the laundry duty scout finding out a small flaw in his battleplan so quickly. Perhaps being a bit of a social shut-in is a bit of a handicap when it comes to strategy after all; but the hallmark of great generals is the ability to learn more.
