Description A flyer I was asked to do for a performance by the band 'Malefice'.
I had no idea what to do for it, so apparently 'Malefice' means 'evil-doer' so I drew a simple figure. He's is supposed to be a heretic/evil doer, hence the menacing pose, the weapon and the wheel (they used to crush heretics on the wheel!).
Overall I'm rather pleased with it, considered I knocked it out in a couple of hours with no ideas to start with
You can always improve though!

I do like the way you cracked the chaos brand behind the main figure. The line art also suggests sweat on his skin.

Thank you, though the 'him' is actually me, I had no one to model for it in time Its amazing what you can do in 2 hours with a deadline looming!
But I assure you, I wasn't sweaty when I took those pictures!

*laughs* Well, hey, amazing what a rush can do for you. I remember meeting deadlines for this book I illustrated last year. THAT was a pain...so many ants, so little, LITTLE time! The experience was great, however.

I think I do as well. Deadlines give my procrastinating ass motivation to actually complete the job, especially when there is money to be made.

I was paid for my last illustration, which was nice. I would like to get around to my comic book, however, and I really feel serious about my art, especially now that I am in a decent program. I have many ideas, but who knows if they will come to fruition...I would like it to happen, though!
