Some gift art for me amigo, ^_^One of my favorite, five star artists on deviantART...
Currently, he's doing a 50 creature challenge, so I decided to help him out with a few creatures of my own ^^

Anyway, I did #36, Mariposa (Giant Moth) and #16, Butanding (Whale Shark).
I really wanted to do a whale shark girl because I thought the idea would be cute ^^
For those of you who don't know, Whale Sharks are the worlds biggest fish, usually growing to be over 30 or 40 feet long. But despite their size and the fact that they are sharks, these fish are super friendly, allowing divers to nuzzle right up to them ^^
This picture was drawn in 's typical style... cute eyes, cute girls, and REALLY big hands ^^
Check out his site, BTW. He draws lots of great stuff including people that are half animal and lots of great anime characters. He also draws pictures based on myths and legends from his ancestral, Filipino culture ^-^

I did put a few spots... on the tail...
But then I decided that her size and her shark fins were enough to make her a whale shark girl...
In other words, I got lazy ^^

Oh, when I was drawing the island, I was using pictures of the Philippines I found on deviantART. I think they're really inviting ^^
