I like B/w line art with one or at most a few items in color. When one does a good job, it creates a splendid contrast, emphasis or spotlight effect. And this is a great style for this story in this drawing. Most would color this with an abstract background or a full scene with an audience watching. But those examples would not amplify the sexiness of vale dancing like this B/W drawing with only the vale in color. A good Example of the power of line art. That may be lost on some people with powerful graphics programs they can buy. I do understand the enthusiasm people may have at how good and professional their drawings look when painted. But it's not for me; I like line art.
My cheap version of photo shop 6 is still quality airbrushing on photos. But that's photos, I like painting photos, to touch them up. But I don't want to paint my drawings. And Photo Shop was not a pleasure to color my line art or even ink them. Then I picked up a cheap version of Manga Studio. I like inking with the brush tool and I can easily do the intensity color printing with dots and lines just like the comics of the 1960's and 1970's. Line art is starting to become out of this world. Long live line art, if I can help it.
You know how to do some powerful line art. Don't ever stop, the world can always use good line.
