Hey laura, I really like this! You've captured a beautiful moment...

It sort of reminds me of the paintings done by the romanticists in the late renaisance period. It correlates because there are delicate features to this image that make it sentimental, but also because there is a dark, black overtone which was traditionally used as a metaphore of concealed truth and mystery. I refer to this bleakness as perpetual night, where we are blinded by what we cannot see. I feel aswell that the solitary figure placed in this environment of purity, emphasises this point more...
Sorry, I have looked far too deep into this imagery...certain images get me going though...
