Damn, Reno, when Tseng told you "You are going to socialize him" he didn't mean this.Although Yazoo is a good troll himself lol.
It's connected to my fanfiction. Yazoo really have almost nothing to do with both Jenova infection and Sephiroth. And he is 100% alive in 100% material body.

Sephiroth has no right judging the Remnants. They were much more effective than he, and looked far less ridiculous. The best thing that ever happened to the nightmare dude that Cloud kicked him into the Lifestream, so the Remnants "were born" somehow. Really, this idiot just screwed up everything.
Nah, let's see his positive featureS: he provides the ass that gets kicked by Cloud every time he tries to act badass. Such a loser.
Any of the Remnants is more interesting than him. At least they have unique faces in the movie.
There is only one AU version of him I like: in this, he cares about the Shinentai as a stepdad, and the spoiled little brats took great advantage of their devoted uncle, wrapping him up around their little innocent fingers.

He was more than effective in the game. In fact, Cloud must thank Rufus for destroying a very strong barier with Sister Ray cannon. The barrier Sephiroth surrounded himself. And by sayin "strong" I mean that Sister ray cannon feed on all Midgar Mako reactors. Its blast left the city withought electricity for few minutes. Otherwise...meeeeteeeorfaaaall
But Cloud kicked Sephy's ass anyway XD

Hey, Sephiroth, that guy you just called "a miserable copy" actually almost killed Cloud twice. In one timeline without falling into livestream and becoming God knows how strong! And now you can't even slap Yaz because you're still in Livestream pada-pam-pam-pam!

Whether the explosion killed Cloud or not... ...that's an open question. My opinion doesn't count much, I'm very biased towards Yazoo, and since they are my OTP, I tend to imagine more into situations. Eheheh.

Oh that explosion? I think, Cloud survived worth. But yeah, I had this question too: did that explosion kill Cloud, Loz and Yazoo? And my opinion it didn't.
Weeeeeell we see Cloud in church right? He used to fall into it once from even higher place so I guess he's all right. Gravitation never worked in FF universe. That rain supposed to fully heal Cloud, so Yazoo's shot won't even leave a scar.
What about kids, well, I wasn't sure they died after explosion :33 I mean, yeah, canon say so...But there are many-many-many sideways. In fact, I'm pretty sure they suvived. Screw cannon XD
They say Yaz and Loz used "suicide" spell. Well, that could be "bomber" as well. It look the same but doesn't kill the caster. :333
Square guys ressurrected turks and saved Rufus's life in novella in the most awkwardly awful way, so why not suppose sideways here? They're far more logically correct.

The rain is Aerith's (that girl Cloud seen in his hallucinations) last Limit break called The Great Gospel. Limit break is kinda super ability depending on amount of damage your character deal. It allows you use strong attacks or series of them, different spells, transformations (Vincent) and etc. Remember that badass Cloud's skill he killed Sephiroth with? Oh yeah, that's his last Limit break. The Great Gospel is a omfg how awesome healing spell which fully restores your party's mana and health and gives its members immortality for a short period. But why it cures geostigma? Why it kills remnants? I don't remember any creature die because you cast healing spells on it...Exept for one boss, but we doesn't count him. It would be too simple. Why not cast it before? Ok, let's pretend She was waiting for Sephiroth to appear. But why Aerith can use limit break on a first place? She wasn't fighting at all! Her body isn't on the battlefield. Why she comes to cloud in dreams? I mean' she's goddamn dead and floating in a livestream. Sigh....The same reason why take kids to forgotten capital, why Jenova cells+Kadaj=Sephiroth or why we see Zack's ghost. Produccers were playing on fan feelings. Like Aerith is still here yay! (Everyone used to love her in the game, buuuuut when she died at the end of act 1 end everyone cried and wanted her back). Like men it's Zack here too! Like we defeated the bad guy again, we cured everyone! Hell yeah! Savior! Everyone is happy, let's dance! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand it sucks.
I still thank Squares for Rufus and Tseng being alive though. :3333 But men, why the rain didn't cure Rufus's legs, Tseng's and Elena's injures then lol? And while we deal with endless plotholes, we still have remnants right?

I don't get Sephiroth either, nothing about him makes sense. First of all, that sword. It's just idiotic, but suits him for the same reason. Eh, he's just an ass to be kicked.
Yes, you're right, the story is a bit of a patchwork, plus a weak construction! Too many plotholes, but looks nice!
Transfering the kids to the Forgotten Capital was not neccessary. Kadaj should have just bathed a bit, then pour the black water into bottles and Yazoo should have distributed them on the streets of Edge. 
They could have made nice money, but no. They just used up a lot of gasoline for the excursion!
