Description

We bid 2020 a hearty and well-deserved farewell with the final OC of the year (but don't worry, I still have more to show you). This lovely lady is Noemie, a Knight and the protagonist of her own story: Golden Knight Noemie (GKN), in which she battles the Pirate King William Adams. Noemie and her series would be akin to Last Blade/Gekka no Kenshi given that both stories have have a fantasy/swashbuckling theme. Naturally, Noemie would be the equivalent of Kaede, the protag of Last Blade/GnK.

Design-wise she is largely based off of Alice Zuberg from Sword Art Online. You may be shocked to hear this but I'm actually not a big fan of SAO. However, I am enjoying Alicization so far. She also takes cues from the original Saber of Fate: Stay Night fame. The claws on her Pauldron (shoulder armor) and Fauld (waist armor) are designed around that of a Dragon. This is a nod to Holy Beast Atlas, a massive dragon with shining scales and her personal Guardian. Her story revolves around Atlas and the other five Holy Beasts, which William Adams and his brood, Sifty and Packy, seek to hunt down for personal gain.

But, like most heroes, Noemie's heroism doesn't pay the bills. At least, not fully. So, she works as a Librarian during the day. If you have a thing for hot librarians with glasses who love swords and geek culture, you'll love Noemie.

Fans of fencer Noelle Descartes will be pleased to learn that Noemie here is Noelle’s first cousin and her childhood friend. Though, Noelle is more like a big sister to Noemie since Noelle is two years her senior. Noelle is a main character in GKN and actively joins her cousin in her adventures. Likewise she will follow Noemie to GPTaisen. She would be the Moriya Minakata to Noemie's Kaede. Black Samurai Yasuke also jumps in from time-to-time to assist the cousins in thier battle against William Adams and his crew.

Short Bio: Picture a Knight of Medieval Europe; a pious, chivalrous and noble warrior riding fourth on thier steed in service of the King. Now picture that same knight as a woman in 21st Century France and you'd get Noemie Descartes. Much like the Knights of Old, Noemie is brave, noble-hearted, kind and pious. But she's also intellligent, being an avid student of History, quick-witted, tolerant of other faiths and a lover of all things geek, including Comics, Video Games and Cartoons. Also like a knight, Noemie comes from noble stock. She is a member of the Descartes Family, the very same clan that Noelle Descartes belongs to. In fact, Noemie and Noelle are first cousins through thier fathers. Despite Noemie and her family living in Coutances, a convent in Northern France, Noemie and Noelle were very close growing up, much like thier fathers. Noelle acted as a big sister to Noemie before the two of them were gifted with thier own younger sisters, Seraphina (Noelle) and Marjorie (Noemie).

But where Noelle has found success in the kitchen as a Chef, Noemie's path is that of the Warrior. She and her partner Holy Beast Atlas, a massive golden dragon, have a mission they must accomplish at all costs. Thier goal is to find Atlas' fellow Holy Beasts before the dreaded Pirate King William Adams and his scumbag ancestors Huw "Sifty the Clown" Adams and his nephew the White English "Samurai" Packington "Packy" Adams , can hunt them down and capture them. Luckily, Noemie and Atlas are not alone. Cousin Noelle, following a tip that Adams may know something of Jean-Claude Renaud, her father's killer, joins Noemie along with the enigmatic African Samurai Yasuke , who has a serious bone to pick with Adams.

Needless to say, Noemie has her work cut out for her, especially having to make a living as a Librarian on the side. But with Atlas, Noelle, thier friends and God on her side, her mission can--nay, will--be accomplished.
