Unwatching due to using bases? Wow.. You must be young, if not young than just naive..
Bases are NOT lazy. If you actually knew how to use them properly, you would know that.
If you don't like something, don't bother wasting "precious words and minutes of your life" commenting about it.

They are lazy. I spend hours trying to actually draw and shape of an animal, and they're just drawing a mane and tail. It's so fucking LAZY.

Really? Because I spend over 2 hours when I use my bases, on just details and mane/tails alone. Not indlucing when I MAKE the bases, thats an extra two hours.
I also use a touch pad to draw, so it takes even more effort.Β
Bases help provide anatomy to those who have trouble drawing. or like me, I only had issue with the body.Β
After a few years of using and making bases, I learned how to finally draw ina Β style I found semi-comfortable.Β
REAL base users spend HOURS on our work using bases, and that is something someone like you with such a close-minded brain will never understand.
You just refuse to learn anything because you THINK it's the truth. I've dealt with many people like you, including my own older brother.
And I know you will soon become defensive and srgue this until you're blue-in-the-face, that's what you guys do.Β
The truth is, base work in itself is a form of art, because those who actually focus on doing it, work just as hard and long as a traditional art can be.Β
Just because you find it "lazy", doesn't mean it is. That's actually a very selfish statement.Β
That's like saying no art form is art unless it s YOUR way of doing it.Β
And that is not how the world goes.Β

Okay, seriously? Why the fuck do you care so damn much? I have been drawing ponies for YEARS without bases but the second I used one bases you complain?? Come the hell on.Β
And also you think drawing a mane and a tail is any easier then drawing the pony? Looooool its very clear you haven't drawn a pony before or at least haven't put much effort into it. In fact id even argue that its harder to draw the mane & tail then the pony itself in some cases!
You realize how long this took right? A long. ass. time (above 2 hours if i recall right). to get the mane and tail just right. So dont call me "lazy" you ignorant tool. Its like saying digital artists are lazy because they dont do traditional art. Its a legitimate form of art, especially since it takes some effort, but maybe if you werent such an ignorant fool and actually tried to use a base, you'd realize it's not just as easy as "drawing a mane and tail". Bases are great beginner tools, and they are great for many things, and its idiots like you that get potentially great artists to stop drawing to this day. Stop trying to defend your ludicrous statements and go away. I'm honestly shocked you have lasted 6 months on this website, let alone actually have any friends with such a self-centered mindset and attitude.
