Art trade with I went a little overboard with this, but it's a subject I love so it's all good.The idea behind this picture is that Crash has to face a trial to prove just how much he loves Spyro. From the outcome, he makes it out barely alive but the two are reunited once again. There was so much going on behind this idea that I had to make it a one page comic rather than a stand alone picture.
The background I used here for panel one is strongly based off of the Egyptian levels from Crash Bandicoot 3 with the long corridors, pillars and orange-pink color scheme. I figured it would be a good place for the setting with the Egypt levels in both games being some of the hardest and the idea of trials that revolves around Haunted Tomb in Spyro the Dragon 3. Bit of reference there!
This will hopefully be the last sad thing I draw of these two for awhile, it was not my intention to bombard you guys with feels recently. I've got some more light-hearted pictures in mind that'll be up hopefully soon. I hope you like this!

I know I'm late to the party but I just read the story and my God, I wasn't ready for that kind of emotional punch. I have to say that personally, I would have much rather see that Crash and Spyro found away back together in the end and I was really disappointed that things didn't go that way. Still, one heck of a story. And I love this piece!

Those injuries on Crash too...wow, they sure look brutal....really makes you feel for him.
It really does go to show that true love knows no boundaries.

There comes that rare time when you look at something beautiful, and you're moved not by it's beauty, but by how much its beauty moves you. I've for over a year praised Brittin Roberts for the amazing artwork she draws. But a couple of days ago days ago as I watched her on Picarto.tv, I realized to what extent she could toy with my emotions. A favorite, a deviant watch, a comment, journal entries, commission's, core memberships, it's not enough to say just how much this pic moved me. I wish I could unsee it and re experience what I felt upon first viewing it. The only thing left to say is that I love it.
