Description This is an =TheExquisiteCorpse with my favourite artist *Bernardumaine [link] I wanted my side to represent a tribute to his brilliance, unknown to him so I used one of his masterpieces to begin my process, to see more β€œSearch 02 and Beyond a Title” [link]

I completed the left side and emailed him a 85 pixel X 760 pixel strip, which he has completed and returned his half. This is it all together

Love your work and mind. You give Dali a run for his money.

Oh I agree! But you know everything in this piece is shadowed and highlighted so well they almost look like clay figures instead of painted ones. Really an superb job!

Guys, this is just awsome. You know, you are all really f*up! I mean it in a good sense. Very sexy and completely disturbing at the same time. Pure art!

OK, so here is what I want to know. 200 years from now somebody will be discussing and defining your art in some text book or trying to explain your pieces while conducting a tour in a museum (completely useless excercise from my perspective) - everybody will be interpreting your ideas and thoughts that went into making of, let's say, this piece (just like they do now with Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Renoir, Picasso, Dali, etc.). So while I have a chance, I am asking you now - what do you guys think about when you are making your art?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

8025glome In reply to vbubnov [2006-10-04 16:35:54 +0000 UTC]

after reading what Bernard said I am glad that he put in some intelligent merit into the piece. It makes it more powerful and adds that extra element.

Me on the other hand my side is no more than just a visual spectacle that has no deeper meanings and has got nothing to do with my ideologies or life, as my life is rather mundane. I challenge people to interoperate their own meanings that is relevant to themselves, or just simply enjoy the ideas and effort.

Rodney, thanks so much for sharing. Interesting to see that two people creating one art work are doing it very differently.
