This pic was very Samurai Champloo (if you haven't seen it check it out asap!!) inspired, though it is not supposed to be the character from the show even though they have the same hairstyle ^_^.....kind of went with the sketchy style i used on my last pic since i liked the end result so much

lol, believe it or not back when i drew this i had no idea who Jet was or even watched the show. Mostly he was inspired by Muygen from Samurai Champloo. Now that i've caught some of the show on tv im a big fan of it and Jet is definetly one of my fav characters from the show, and i keep telling myself im going to do a Jet fanart one of these days.

really llike the placement of the characters in it, and the expressions are awesome!
one menos: the sharp aspect of the men heads in the back... quite weird to me

Wicked. I can really feel the tension.
The shading contrast could be a little stronger, just so there isn't so much of a leap between the very light 3 figures, and the 4 black ones. I think the bamboo looks too out of focus, or in the wrong position -depth wise.
These are minor points however - in general, it's an outstanding pic!

Thanks, i appreciate your input and i agree with u, especially the bamboo, it was one of the last things i added to the pic cause i felt like the pic needed a little somethin somethin, but in retrospect it doesn't gel well with the rest, and probably is better without.

Your awesome, and it's been recognised, I'm =yuppy64 , and I run a project over at =Deviant-Underground to promote underappreciated artists, and share their art with our watchers, each day three pieces are featured in the club journal, and the same journal posted to all the daily members, who post the same journal in their journals, each saturday the 5 favourite deviations from that week are posted again, and that journal sent to a different list of members, then those deviations are put into a poll, and by the next week, the deviation with the most votes is submitted to the clubs gallery with comments disabled and a link to the orignal. so eventually, when the project gets bigger, then that should have a huge effect on the featured deviations comments and favourites...

great the sketchy thing is working, and the pose is believable. well in the costume departmente you could use some variety but thats another story...
the only thing is the background and the grass.. evil filters an brushes >_<
