Just throwing some art at you guys to show I'm not dead..... yet...This was the final project for my Introduction to Sequential class in Winter quarter at SCAD. We made mini-comics! It was 5 or 6 pages (or more if we were really daring) of whatever we wanted. This was actually the second idea I came up with, and I whipped it out with only mere minutes to spare.
We even printed off some booklets to hand out to our classmates! [link] which I thought was the coolest part, they look so official
and now I have a big stack of all the comics from my classmates to oogle over whenever I want.This is a Khreed legend idea I've had in my head for a long time, but I've never taken the time to really flesh it out, so this is the "what I could fit onto 5 pages with three days left until deadline" version. The actual story I have in mind is a lot more detailed and extravagent, with more characters and creatures and even a moral lesson to boot.
These were all done on Bristol Board with India Ink. And with a bit of photoshopping thrown in for those starry sky backgrounds.

Bonus Trivia: Maarjat is supposed to be red and Briitou is white/silver, and the moons themselves correspond to this as well.

The anatomy of the creatures looks very well worked, understood, and through, and the story flows well--though I would re-work some of the wording.. Fantastic job!

Oh wow, nice job. What scale did you work at? I think if I were to do comics, I would have to do them bigger and then scale them down. I'm not so good with tiny details.
Also, the story reminds me of Mesoamerican mythology--hero twins like Hun-apu and Ixbalanque from Mayan myths.
