Hi. I was wondering, is the time of day in the picture day or night? I would argue day because the liberal amount of light in the storm. My friend says it's nighttime, and that would be moon in the background.

The sea and sky scenery here has such a powerful Aivazovsky vibe.... and I really love that as the context of a fantasy battle with sea monsters. By the way, that orange light reflection in the water is incredible.

Fantastic work with the waves and the lighting upon the water. Also great work with showing the fluid motion of the characters balancing in the boat in the rough water and of course the monster in the background looks scary.

There’s so much going on in this scene, I love these in their scale with the Kraken in the background. I am developing a writing app called Daily Prompt that utilises visual and written prompts to inspire stories and poems, Ghost of Saltmarsh has so much story in it and fit so well. I can see this was an artwork done for D&D but wanted to see if you were interested in having Ghosts of Saltmarsh feature in the app? We only ask for permission to feature the image and add all credits wanted.
